Who is Furniture Home Store? We are a family-owned on-line storefront based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Do you have a retail store in my area? No, not unless you live near Charlotte, NC. However, you can see furniture of comparable quality and styling at any Restoration Hardware©, Pottery Barn© or Crate and Barrel© store in your area. Please visit these retailers and if you like the look, comfort and quality of the furniture pieces found there; then you'll absolutely love our furniture! Of course, we feel that our furniture is a fantastic bargain when compared to those retailers because it is of a higher quality and we offer it to you at a dramatically lower price.

Do you have a showroom where I can actually see my new furniture? Yes, our brick-and-mortar storefront locations are named Bungalows Home Store. If you are ever in North Carolina, you can stop in at our store in Huntersville or at our new Charlotte location, which will be opening in Fall 2005. If you aren't planning a trip to our fair state, we are more than happy to send you swatches of our fabrics and leathers, so you can see for yourself the incredible high quality we offer.

Do you offer a warranty? Yes! We are so confident that you will love your new furniture that we offer a 30-day in home guarantee. If you are not completely satisfied, simply return it within 30 days after delivery and we will refund the purchase price. We will even pay to have it shipped back to us! It's like experiencing the showroom in your own home! Also, our frames and spring system are guaranteed for life. If, for any reason, the frame or spring system fails under normal conditions, we will repair or replace them at no charge. Only a company that is confident of the high quality of their craftsmanship and materials would offer such a warranty!

How are you able to sell this quality of furniture at such reasonable prices? Simply put, we work very hard to keep our overhead in check. Our business model is straightforward, we offer our customers the chance to purchase custom manufactured furniture directly from the factory floor without the added costs of nationwide showrooms and large scale advertising. All these non-value added costs really add up and eliminating them allows us to sell the same furnishings that you would see in high end stores for literally hundreds less!

What do I pay for shipping? Shipping costs will vary by item, please see our shipping chart to calculate cost for your purchase.

How is my order shipped? In the case of furniture, it will be delivered to your home by white glove delivery. Smaller items, such as accessories, will be delivered by Fed Ex Ground or UPS Ground.

How long does shipping take? Items are shipped to your home within 4 to 6 weeks of your order. Typical turn-around on orders is usually 2 weeks. In certain cases orders may take slightly longer; however, a representative will notify you of any delays.

Will I be notified of the delivery time? Once your items have arrived at the destination terminal closest to your address, the carrier will contact you to arrange a specific day and time frame for delivery of your new leather set. Time frames are usually a 4-hour window and deliveries are performed Monday-Friday during normal business hours.

Will I receive an order confirmation via email? Yes. If you provide your email address when placing your order, we will send you a message confirming your order within 24 hours.

How should I pay for my order? We accept most major credit cards and checks. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and payment can be made online through our secure server.

Do I pay state sales tax on my order? We are only required to collect state sales tax on items being shipped to North Carolina addresses. In addition, a 25% deposit is required on upholstered headboards and any upholstered or leather furniture order. This deposit will be fully refunded should you cancel your order before your furniture is fully completed. Full payment, including shipping costs is required when your order is ready to ship, generally 4-6 weeks after confirmation. Accessories, Bedroom Suites and Table Collections are charged full amount at time of order.

How is your furniture constructed? All our upholstered frames are kiln-dried North American hardwood (maple and poplar) and are constructed on-site by experienced craftsmen in our North Carolina factory. This on-site manufacturing of the frames is very unique in today's furniture industry, because most manufacturers contract out the frame sub-assembly. In fact, other furniture manufacturers buy our frames, which says a lot about our quality of workmanship. We use only the finest "B" grade top grain full aniline-dyed waxed Italian leathers and durable 100% cotton fabrics for that comfortable upscale look and feel. Any metal in our seating pieces (springs, etc.) is durable tempered steel. Which means that all of our pieces are hand-crafted of the finest materials and, with reasonable care, should last you a lifetime!

What are Duraplush cushions? They are the ultimate in comfort and are a free upgrade with every upholstered and leather purchase made through our website. Our Duraplush cushions are down-blend cushions, with a medium-firm poly core surrounded in our down blend. This combination of a firm core surrounded by soft down gives our cushions an incredibly soft feel and a very sophisticated look. Also, our cushion cores have a lifetime guarantee, should they fail under normal conditions, we will replace them at no charge.

Are your upholstery fabrics 100% cotton? Yes, the fabrics that we use on our upholstered and slipcovered pieces are 100% cotton denim and twills. With vibrant colors and a soft and cozy feel these incredibly durable fabrics will offer you the utmost in casual style and comfort for many, many years to come.

What sort of leather do you use? We use only hand selected aniline-dyed waxed Italian leathers which are all a "B" grade. We also use only full top-grain leather which is the strongest and the most supple part of the hide. Our texture-rich leathers have not been buffed or sanded, therefore, the grain and other natural markings of the hide are apparent. These natural characteristics are considered by many to be the hallmark of fine leather. Aside from its beauty, leather is an outstanding value because it is inherently durable and requires very little maintenance, making it great for homes with children and pets. Like all natural materials, leather is constantly changing, so surface scratches and small spills will actually blend in over time. In fact, leather furniture becomes more beautiful as it ages, developing a well-worn and rich patina.

How can I buy the furniture without sitting on it first? This is a very common question. Customer service representatives are available to answer your questions about the seating firmness and feel as well as describe the high quality of materials we use in constructing our furniture. Our previous customers' expectations have generally been exceeded once their items have arrived. Is it important to measure correctly? It is extremely important that you measure not only the location where you intend to place your new furniture, but also any doorways (front door, bedroom door, etc.) that the pieces will need to travel through. Also, if your furniture needs to travel upstairs, please measure the stairway opening to ensure that there is ample room for maneuvering. We have included complete dimensions for all our furnishings, these can be found in the product details.

Can I get a sample of the leather or fabric I'm interested in? Yes, absolutely. Sample swatches of our fabric and leather are available free of charge. Simply click here or call or e-mail us (don't forget to include your address).

Are the colors of your fabric swatches and product photos true to the finished piece? We make every effort to provide the most accurate photos, measurements and fabric swatches available. Our photographers and graphic experts have done a great job of representing our products accurately. However, leather and fabric are natural products and slight shade variations are possible from dye-lot to dye-lot. If you are trying to match a specific shade or color in you room, please request that a free swatch be sent to you to avoid any problems at the time of delivery. Furniture Home Store will not be held responsible for matching any colors to your existing décor or any slight shade variances inherent with all leather and fabric products.
